A lady's private parts is extremely important so it is
very necessary to keep it healthy and clean, here is how.
1.
Wash it as often as possible- The
worst thing for a lady is to have a bad odour in her vagina, so make sure you wash
it as often as you can and with just water. Using a douche could lead to an
infection and bad odour. Don't wash like you are trying to dig out gold biko. Now this is something i tell all ladies, yes i am very traditional but that is the way my mama brought me up. I totally don't go with the school of thought that says after using the toilet, use a tissue. I love using water and i think its the best way to go in making sure that place smells well. After water, you use the tissue to dry the surface. Go with hand wash and sanitizer and all will be okay.

Keep it cleanly shaven- The
shorter the vaginal hair, the lower the chances of odour and infections. Please don't allow the hair to grow to the extent that you can plait it.

See a doctor as soon as you
notice something different down there- Keeping an infection for too long
could result in something bad and affect your fertility rates. Once you notice a bad smell, rush to your doctor.
4.
Wear the right underwear- Wearing
the right lingerie will allow air around your vagina. Wearing an underwear that is too tight could leave the area
damp and open you to a bacterial invasion. Cotton underwear is preferably to
nylon and other airless fabric. Also dont repeat underwear abeg.
5.
Eat healthy to get a clean,
healthy vagina- It has been proven that what you eat
affects how your vagina smells and tastes so eat the right kind of fruits,
especially those high in natural sugar like yogurt, garlic, oranges, apples, mangoes etc.
6. Avoid using scented product, harsh laundry detergents, or feminine products designed to ‘freshen’ the vagina.
