Most Shared Nepal Quake Victim Photo Was Taken in Vietnam

This photo is one of the most shared photos on social media in the wake of the earthquake in Nepal last week. It shows two young children hugging each other, the little girl clinging to her brother as if she needs shelter from the outside world and the boy's eyes reveals fear. It creates a truly heart wrenching image. Attempts to look for these kids have been made online with donations
But the right owner of the photo has come out to say it was not taken in Nepal but in Vietnam, nearly a decade ago.
The Photographer Na Son Nguyen told BBC that he took the picture October 2007 in Can Ty, a remote village in Ha Giang province.
He said he was passing through a village and the scene caught his attention. He saw two children playing in front of their house while their parents were working in the fields. The girl was crying and the brother hugged his sister to comfort her.
