No be me send you go marry. so why give me a material i can get for 3000 naira in the market and then sell it to me for 20k? I am totally fed up and something need to be done.
Am sorry i sound so harsh, but the truth must be told. Recently a friend of mine announced her wedding and told me how important it will be to have me in her train. Then she brought the almighty material and you wont believe how much it cost- N20,000 for one yard of cord lace, a yard of satin and hair tye. So for all this, am expected to pay the sum of N20,000.
Brides need to understand that in some cultures, you pay people to be part of your train. Apart from paying them, you also beg them to be part of it and not discourage them by giving ridiculous amount for an Aso-Ebi material.
Lets paint this out well, imagine i buy material for N20,000, i sew it for N9,000 and i also transport myself to the wedding venue lets say N6,000...at the end of the day, should i still get the couple gift? Hell No...
Come, brides, better take it easy. Yes we want to support you and make your day colorful but we don't want to be exploited...Shikena
Sometimes we spend so much time talking than finding solutions, so now am asking, What can we do to brides that inflate their Aso-Ebi prices. Should one outright reject it or take it and tell the bride you are not happy with the amount?
We must find a cure for it please...
