...Tis the season to be jolly, falalalala falalala!!!
It is indeed a season to be happy, but i wonder how much happiness we can get in a country that is faced with so many difficulties. Difficulties that affects the poor.
- Lack of electricity
- No good roads
- Bad Governance
- Corruption
- Devaluation Of Naira
- And the baba of them all, Terrorism.
Even in the midst of the above listed, Nigerians still find reason(s) to smile...we have no choice.
Today as we celebrate the birth of Christ, I remember the missing Chibok Girls. About 200 girls were kidnapped by the Nigeria Islamic Sect Boko Haram members in Chibok April 15th, 2014. About 255days later, the were-about of these girls is still very much unknown. This makes us wonder;
Are we ever going to find them?
With the way this issue has been handled, to say Yes we will find them is so hard, so i will stick with "By God's Grace, I hope we find them".
Election is just around the corner about 52days remaining before Nigerians decide who will take over the presidential seat, and still we haven't heard of the manifestos of our aspirants,rather we hear of the donations of billions to run their campaign, when will Nigeria be better?
We have heard statements from the presidency and even from our military that they know where the Chibok girls are but trying to be careful so they don't endanger their lives, but hey, how long will this take before the careful is being replaced by actions.
I wonder what made America in the first place, who at the time the girls were missing did not allow us hear word, even the president of USA Michelle Obama held her placard which had inscribed on it "Bring back our girls", decide to back out from the wahala of Nigeria. This backing out made them even deny selling weapons to us which will be effective in fighting insurgency and even stopped importation of our oil. Do you think the United States of America knows something we don't know?
I have lost hope in this Chibok Girls Issue, have you? Do you think they will soon be found?
