Another Plane Crash Avoided After Flight to Kaduna Developed Technical Fault

Over 120 passengers narrowly escaped another aviation disaster in Nigeria yesterday when an AERO contractors flight travelling from Lagos to Kaduna developed a technical fault in the air forcing it to divert to Abuja. The plane which had on board Professor Ishaq Akintola, the director of Muslim Rights Concern and others was said to have suddenly lost altitude 20 minutes after it departed from Lagos and this made it wobble in the air for over an hour before it eventually diverted to Abuja. Professor Akintola said;

'' Some shouted Allah others Jesus and as the pilot was making the announcement of the flight diversion, i noticed that his voice was trembling. In the midst of the commotion, i commend the crew for their professionalism and unusual calmness''.

He also mentioned that after landing in Abuja, officials told them that the plane would be hurriedly repaired and that afterwards it will proceed to take them to Kaduna. He said he could not risk it anymore as he has to take a taxi to Kaduna.
