US Alleges Massive Rigging In Akwa Ibom and Rivers State Election

The United States embassy in Nigeria has alleged electoral manipulations in Rivers and Akwa Ibom States. This was made known in a press statement, it reads;
''We have seen the reports of violence and alleged irregularities, particularly in Rivers and Akwa Ibom states, we call on aggrieved parties to pursue their grievances peacefully in the judicial arena''
''We commend the leadership of Nigeria's political parties, notably President Goodluck Jonathan and president - elect Muhammadu Buhari for urging their supporters to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the electoral process''.
The US therefore congratulated Nigerians and the Independent National Electoral Commission for the process that generally went well across the country.
