Hillary Clinton to declare 2016 White House Race

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to formally declare her run for the 2016 United States of America presidential nomination today.

Mrs Clinton who also served as a senator for New York, ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008 but lost to Barack Obama. However reports say that President Barack Obama this time is solidly behind the former first lady and secretary of state Hilary Clinton. He was quoted to have said '' she will make an excellent president''. He said;

''She was a formidable candidate in 2008. She was a great supporter of mine in the general election. She was an outstanding secretary of state. She is my friend''.
Obama said this at a press conference in Panama after a summit of Western Hemisphere leaders on Saturday, April 11.

Clinton who is 67, who lost in 2008 this time around, it appears she is unlikely to face a fomridable primary opponent, with only a few low-profile democrats saying that they would consider contesting the nomination.
Mrs Clinton was also first lady when her husband Bill Clinton was president and she is expected to make the declaration through social media
