A South Australian woman who petitioned the Supreme Court to be able to collect sperm from her dead husband with the intentions of starting a family can now sing for joy as her wish finally came true.
At first doctors were not sure if the operation would be successful because it took the court 2 days to decide whether she would be allowed to use the sperm of her late husband who died from a motorcycle accident. They feared the sperm will not still be viable.
On first attempt, doctors were pleased to find out that the woman was pregnant.
Against all odds, a healthy baby was born.
Steve Robson, a fertility specialist involved in this incredible case said the story is one of enduring love. He said;
''On a professional level, this has been from my perspective , a love story and it has been incredible to be involved with helping a woman who has so much love and courage''.
Currently in South Australia, sperm can only be used after death if it is taken before the man dies. The Adelaide Court allowed the woman to take the sperm posthumously because she was able to prove that her and her husband had planned to start a family before the heartbreaking accident.
The woman's name can however not be mentioned for security reason.

So, everything about a man isn't dead after his heart beat stops, or even after he's pronounced dead! That's the mystery about life and God!
God bless technological advancement. This is really good. Now she has someone to hold on to since the love of her life died. I so love this. Thanks Uvbi for sharing
