Idris Elba Can't Be James Bond- Says Former 007 Star Roger Moore

Veteran actor Roger Moore is under fire from twitter over his racism comment that Idris Elba cannot play James Bond because he is not ''English - English'' enough.

Sir Roger made this comment in an interview with French magazine Paris Match, although the former Bond star claimed his words had been misunderstood by people and blamed the French magazine for embroiling him in a racism row.

The 87 years old actor who is an ambassador for UNICEF, starred in seven Bond movies between 1973 and 1985. He has served in seven Bond movies between 1973 and 1985. He stated that;
''although James may have been played by a Scottish, a Welshman and an Irishman, i think he should be English- English''. He went on to say ''Nevertheless, its an interesting idea, but unrealistic''.
Reacting on social media has been overwhelmingly negative with twitter users accusing Sir Roger of 'Racism'.
Many commentators highlighted the fact that Elba was born and raised in the East End of London and would definitely be a perfect match for James Bond.
Elba is one of the leading contender to play Bond once Daniel Craig retires.
