Don't Panic: Facts about Ebola

If i give my own analysis about Ebola and Nigeria's inability to handle Ebola, i guess it will increase the fear and tension that is already on at the moment. Rather, i decided to spread the message about Ebola and how we can protect ourselves.

Many people don't even know much about Ebola and what they can do to protect themselves. Rather they rely on annoying broadcast messages that says you should bath with salt and nail in the water, drink salt, rub kerosine all over your body before leaving the house and so on and so forth. We only complicate issues. Here are some facts about Ebola;

What is Ebola?
Ebola is what scientist call hemorrhagic fever. It operates by making its victims bleed from almost anywhere on their body. usually, victims bleed to death from Ebola. It is indeed bloody. But please don't panic yet, read more.

It is indeed contagious. It can be transmitted through contact with body fluids like sweat, saliva, blood and semen.
But please, dont listen to any message that says it is AIRBORNE. It is not Airborne Biko.

Apart from it not being airborne, what i can say is that it is indeed deadly (truthfully). It kills 90% of the people that have Ebola and it is one of the deadliest diseases in the world today, killing in few weeks after contacting it (really scary).

It is painfully, Untreatable. For now no cure exist for Ebola. But am optimistic that very soon, there will be.
Symptoms of Ebola

Many people are still uneducated on how they can detect if someone have Ebola. It is very easy. The symptoms generally take 2 -21 days to become apparent. They are however deceptive because they tend to look like malaria or a flu (Catarrh and cough). Symptoms are;

FEVER

HEADACHE
DIARRHEA

VOMITING

STOMACH PAIN

LACK OF APPETITE

WEAKNESS
JOINT AND MUSCLE PAIN

HOW CAN I PROTECT MYSELF AND FAMILY
Now the next question should be, how do i get protected? What can one do to prevent Ebola? Here are the things you need to do...

1- Wash you hands with soap. Do this a lot and also use a good hand sanitizer.

2- Abeg No bush meat for now. It may be carrying the virus. Also avoid Suya. It is better to play safe. Also restrict yourself to food you prepared on your own.

3- Disinfect your surroundings. The virus cannot survive disinfectants, heat, direct sunlight, detergents and soaps. Always clean up. take your bath when you get home after work or after being in a gathering.

4- Fumigate your environment.

5- Don't touch dead bodies

6- Rush to the nearest hospital once you notice any of these symptoms or call 08023169485, 08033086660, 08033065303, 08055281442 and 08055329229

Please read this and educate others. We need to be more educated about this deadly disease.
